ABOUT KL PUBLISHING GROUP

KL Publishing Group is an independent publishing company specializing in periodicals, books, memoirs, photography collections, collector’s editions, educational works, and multimedia content spanning fashion, lifestyle, music, performing arts, culture, entertainment, and the arts. Founded by publisher, composer, and editor Kaylene Peoples, the company has grown from a single publication into a diverse portfolio of editorial brands serving readers around the world. Its publications are known for visually driven storytelling, collectible print editions, longform journalism, and a commitment to preserving the artistry of publishing in an increasingly digital age.

The company’s flagship publication, AGENDA, was founded in 2004 and entered print in 2014 after a decade as a pioneering online publication. Over the years, AGENDA has become known for its fashion editorials, celebrity interviews, cultural commentary, photography, and luxury lifestyle coverage. The publication was among the earliest online magazines to stream documentary-style interviews and runway content and later became one of the first independent publishers to successfully produce full-bleed magazines through Amazon’s print-on-demand platform.

Today, KL Publishing Group’s publishing portfolio includes AGENDA, Virtuoso Bass, Jazz Influencers, The Performing Artist, Kaylene Peoples Fashion Talk, Renowned Review, and The Indie Hotspot, including additional forthcoming titles including Bella Composers currently in development. Collectively, these publications serve readers interested in fashion, music, publishing, performing arts, culture, lifestyle, and creative achievement.

In addition to its periodicals, KL Publishing Group publishes memoirs, autobiographies, collector’s editions, photography books, educational works, and specialty hardcover publications documenting significant contributions to music, culture, fashion, and the arts. The company is also developing major historical and scholarly reference works, including a forthcoming hardcover volume dedicated to documenting the foundational history and canon of jazz fusion bass.

The company’s founder, Kaylene Peoples, has earned national recognition for her contributions to publishing, media, music, and entrepreneurship. MSN recognized Peoples among its “Top Ten Entrepreneurs to Look Out For” in 2025 and later named her among its “Top 10 Inspiring Women Leaders in 2026.” Her work as a publisher, composer, filmmaker, recording artist, and cultural advocate continues to influence audiences across multiple creative disciplines.

As KL Publishing Group continues to expand, its mission remains unchanged: to champion meaningful storytelling, elevate underrepresented voices, preserve the value of longform journalism, and create publications that readers are proud to display, revisit, and share.
