Issue #17, titled “Couture Paper Dolls,” starts the new year with a bang! On our cover is model Lita Cline who stars in the editorial “Queen of the Night.” This fashion story is a Queen’s Gambit-themed spread, featuring the hat collection of designer Anat Fritz, photographed by Udo Spreitzenbarth, and styled by Ty-Ron Mayes (Fashion Whisperer). And as we “reintroduce” paper dolls, you’ll meet the creator of a new collectible line in the article, “Couture Paper Dolls by Glenna Gaffney: A Fashionable Collectible for the ‘Grown Up’ Little Girl!” You saw it first, here in Agenda!

What else is in this January 2022 Issue #17? Fashion Talk by Agenda‘s Editor-in-Chief Kaylene Peoples dives deep into the history of the paper doll in “The Evolving Paper Doll: Proving That Everything Comes Back in Style!” These dolls were created thousands of years ago. Who knew?

Agenda’s beauty editor gives an unexpected list of unique presents to give to those we care about the most in her guide titled, Shahada Karim’s Favorite Things. This gift guide features the following: Pause Play Wellness, Shun Knives, The Harmonist, Nomad by Bond No. 9, and Pressed Pigment Powder by Hindash

September Burks gives an insightful look into her amazing career in her interview, “September Burks: The Award-Winning Makeup Artist Who Is on the Move!” Melanie Wise of Wise Remedies completes her conversation with best-selling author Anthony William in “The Final Unravelings As We Explore Other Health Mysteries with Anthony William, Part 3.”

Zac Baldwin reviews a series of book-based movies and gives his picks for the holidays and beyond. Movies and their books include the following: The Christmas Carol, Scrooge, The Grinch That Stole Christmas, The Bishop’s Wife, Decent Exposure, 12 Men of Christmas, Skipping Christmas, and Die Hard

Sheryl Aronson interviews David Josef who has designed for Melba Moore, Melissa Manchester, and others. He is the founder of the 501 c 3, Fashion to the Rescue. “What a thrill it must have been to watch the Blood Sweat & Tears in concert. Read Sheryl Aronson’s article, “Blood Sweat & Tears, The Music of Our Adolescence.” (Arting Around)

In keeping with the paper doll theme, designer/illustrator Renaldo Barnette is the creator of the BrookLynn Paper Doll and comic book. In this interview, he talks about his incredible career in fashion and how he conceived BrookLynn. (Black Design Collective)

Celebrity stylist Ty-Ron Mayes (Fashion Whisperer) has been frequently moonlighting on the set of And Just Like That, a spin-off of Sex and the City. He gives his insight on what we can expect. HULU Originals has become a serious player, rivaling Netflix and Amazon Prime with their lineup of new shows. Agenda features the following series: The Drop Out (Amanda Seyfried) and How I Met Your Father (Hilary Duff).

The fashion in Agenda never stops, and Kornit Fashion Week LA 2021 had a lineup of incredibly diverse “Fashion Tech” collections from Israel’s most prominent designers with runway shows from Victor “Vivi” Bellaish, Shai Shalom, and Kobi Halperin. And for Fashion Archives, Altuzzara’s Ready-to-Wear S/S 2013 collection was a stunner during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week NY, photographed by Arun Nevader.

Ash Gupta (838 Media Group) chooses Sana Saeed for VERIFIED this issue. The stunning actress is from India with a flourishing career; check out Sana’s editorial. “Melrose and Hollywood: Winters in California” is a fun spread, featuring models Noa Athena and Mariam Zol in the styles of Lulu & Sky.

Ralph Lauren Fragrances Presents Ralph’s Club at Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles with a list of celebrities in attendance, including Haylee Steinfeld, Rachel Zoe, August Getty, King Princess, and Kathy Hilton, with a performance by Prince Charlez.
